A distinguished career in the Royal Air Force, with various aircrew, aircraft control, combat battle-management and ministerial staff roles in UK and overseas. This included senior command assignments (with combat leadership roles in the Falklands and Gulf Wars) and 5 executive appointments at the Ministry of Defence; latterly heading policy for the UK Air Defence system and the AEW Fleet, and commanding an RAF Station of some 550 Service and 75 civilian personnel. With such a rich variety of appointments in the UK, US, Germany and the Middle East, working with NATO, the UN, the EU and global coalitions - a wealth of operational, domain, technical and management experience can be called upon to support military advisor tasks.
